American Bald Eagle Oil Painting by me, 12" x 16" and available at my Art Site
Many years ago, I spotted an American Bald Eagle from my commuter train window near the John Heinz Wildlife Preserve. I told my family, all excited, and they reminded me that they had been almost extinct from pesticides and that they were no longer at Heinz.
The next day, Heinz announced they were back. Of course, I've never let my family forget it!
I loved painting the eyes of this majestic bird as he soars through the sky looking for fish. They are a little scary when kayaking near their nests, but you have to love them. They are very good mates and parents and of course the symbol of the USA.
